A "wheel was on the pavement". That sounds like the end of society to me. Well worth a £75 fine and a £200 clamping bill.

I've had the front 2" of my car on a yellow and been ticketed. I've been ticketed at 6pm when I parked at 3mins to 6 and the "free parking" started at 6pm - apparently Wardens are supposed to stand by your car for 3 to 5 mins (depending on which day-glow yellow vulture you speak to) which was an impossibility.

Traffic Wardens get huge abuse. Good. Traffic Wardens are hated. I can understand this. What is the problem? Councils deceiptfully and deliberately removing parking places and increasing the numbers of these scavanging cancer cells on the streets. Half the population of Londons back streets are yellow cancer cells looking for revenue.

Solve the problem by providing more parking not parasites. Take us forward. Not backward. Solve issues. Don't escalate them. Vote out pinheads. Vote in Councillers that provide solutions rather than devide. End this scam.

So you admit you were over the yellow line then. I've worked in an office that hears the complaints from drivers who have received excess charges for bad parking. I could show you a hundred examples of people who say "I was only a couple of inches over the line/only there 2mins. etc" And then have proof that they were no where near their claims. One guy claimed inches, when he was a measure 6feet over a line. Seriously I've heard every excuse and I know that the majority of claims are lies, not even a different interpretation or mistake, just bare-faced lies. Those people you're glad receive abuse, those cancer cells and vultures out looking for revenue are only doing the job asked of them by those generally trying to do what is best and safest for the community at large. Your attitude, in my opinion, puts you in the same group as the thieving, lying, arrogant scum that I often had to deal with day in day out that to be honest did not have the mental capacity to understand the issues at hand or effectively argue any valid point. That's not to say there aren't rouge Parking Control Officers out there just as there are rouges in any and every profession, but where's the evidence in this case? you're jumping to stupid assumptions.

I've also been ticketed, correctly, for parking overtime. I rolled up to 2 wardens on the spot and was told implicitly I just had to pay the fine and it was alright to leave the car for 10-20mins. When I came back 20mins later my car had been towed - £250! Who's the lying scum pinhead? 

You claim the yellow cancer cells are "trying to do what is best and safest for the community at large".

1. What is "best" for the community - build parking spaces or taking them away? 

2. What is "safest" for the community - what's the "danger" to the community of an overparked car or one parked 2 foot over a yellow line precisely?

3. Are the Councillors "trying to do their best" by investing in parking - how many parking spaces has your local council added in the past 5 years?

4. How many parking spaces have they taken away and painted yellow lines across over the last 5 years?

5. How much revenue has your Council raised - what %percentage is put back into new parking spaces?

6. Westminster Thieving Council ripped over £200M last year off overparked motorists. The back of the tickets claims the money is "re-invested in improving the roads". How many new parking places have W.C. provided in that £200M per year ?

7. Are scumbag attitudes like yours (crime and fine rather than sove the problem) part of the solution or 100% responsible for the problem?

8. How much longer can Councils get away with this national scam/theft/deceipt?

I noticed as Labour got hammered in the Council elections how troll after party troll came out saying how much they "want to listen" to their community about what's going wrong. Any chance they could follow a cancer cell around for a day to see what cheeses the motorist off most and doing something about this legalised parasitical fraud?

By 'normally upstanding' I assume you're NOT talking about those that park illegally then rant, bile filled on the internet about unfair it is that they have to fit in to society without special dispensation?? I guess other people who get unwarranted abuse could include politicians, tax collectors, the NHS, etc. etc. all easy targets at times, but all very necessary parts of society in the UK. The thing is nobody ever praises work done well, so you only ever hear negative comments.

So you admit fault, then ask if you can have further 'free' parking to which the wardens said you could have '10-20mins'; yeah they were wrong to allow you this free parking, but then you still took the 20mins didn't you? Why not just move your car? why not come back 10mins later? or 18mins? As I've said before I KNOW that people lie and or have no concept of time when I've heard complaints in the past, claiming 2mins. when they've been an hour, and I'm not going to call you a liar in regard to this particular occasion, but I wouldn't be surprised to find you were longer than you think. Also, like I said, those wardens shouldn't have told you you could stay the extra time as the consequences were not in their hands, they may have been trying to do you a favour, but their judgement was off on this occasion.

I won't repeat each point, but I'll try to answer each in turn: 1) Either depending on policy. If there's a need for more spaces then more spaces would of course be best, but where is a planning issue and not the responsibility of the guy in the street doing his job that you incite people to abuse without good reason. 2) If an area is deemed unsafe to park in then the danger could be in obscuring the view of other road users, obstructing emergency vehicles etc. etc. 3)Where they can, yes. Approx. 400, with 800 more as part of planned development giving a net gain over ten years of around 600 publicly managed spaces. In addition plans have been approved for double that to be provided with private partnerships over the same period. 4) Don't have accurate figures, but I'd guess at 100. I don't agree in every case, but the reason has been for better traffic flow and safety. You do realise that the raw number of parking spaces available doesn't improve the traffic congestion in some areas and that traffic, and town, planning is a complex beast? 5) I don't have an accurate figure, but I would conservatively estimate that more than 100% of revenue raised from parking charges both standard and excess has been spent on parking provision and traffic planning. 6) No idea. 7) Thanks again for the personal insults. In answer to your question hidden in the insult I'd say categorically that punishing those who commit offenses is definitely part of the solution, if you don't agree then I really don't know what to say, other than refer you too my previous comment on mental capacity. 8) There's no scam/theft/deceit that they're getting away with, how long can you delude yourself? unnumbered) Maybe YOU should spend some time in their shoes before you troll about spouting hate and BS. You also miss the BIG point. Parking is a SERVICE to the community. It means people can circulate and park and spend money in shops, meet up, exchange ideas etc. By reducing parking (as Councils have done) you reduce community and economic activity.

So by your slight of hand and deception to remove parking with the aim to increase parking fines you impoverish the community socially and economically in addition to building an Empire of parasitical anal beauracrats living off the back of the community - the OPPOSITE of your self-important gogwash of 'protecting the community.
