This is the new Keating SKR supercar. It has been launched by the fledgling British sports car maker today - St George’s Day - and Autocar will be among the first drive it.

Maybe I'm just not a teenage boy anymore, but I can't see the point of this or many other 'supercars'. If it's just a track car then fine, but if they really want to market it as a road car, why?? All these sorts of cars look the same to me, far moreso than many 'eurobox' saloons that have the same accusation made against them. Who cares about 500bhp and 200mph in a car that is barely usable. Give me a 250bhp, 120mph AC Cobra anyday.

What happened to the "come back later for the Autocar review" at the foot of the article? I was looking forward to it...

Julian we were told we could drive it. Two of us went up to Southport to do so and when we got there we were told we couldn't drive it and nor could any other journalist. So apologies but it wasn't our fault this time. By the way the demo car's gearbox also went west as it was being driven in front of the assembled media. So, all in all, not a great day out for the Autocar team.

you would of been able to i believe,but someone drove over the white line.

this being a RAF base,they are quite strict,so they stopped anyone else testing it.

to me this looks a great car,and good luck to them,its good to see a British firm taking on the big boys.
