    MG TF “still on track” insist Chinese

    Plans to produce the MG TF and other new models in the UK are still on track, according to the Chinese car maker Nanjing.
    The company’s UK arm, NAC MG, has responded to our report on the collapse of a deal with supplier Stadco to build MG TF bodies by denying that the project to return car production to Longbridge is at an end.

    NAC got what they wanted - the production equipment for Rover / MG.   If they were serious about restarting production in the UK it would have already happened.   Currently, if they brought out the car here it would be a very very old model, and quite frankly expections in the UK have moved on since the MG TF ceased production.   Prices would have to be much lower.

     For the elimination of doubt:- MGs will never be built in the UK again.
