Autocar - First for car news and reviews

I was knocked sideways when I saw this bit of footage. Amazing that anything can accelerate that fast above 100mph, not to mention a little bit scary.

Also brought to mind the fastest I've ever driven, or been driven: Brabus Rocket, on the infamous Bottrop road (the A31), just over a year ago: 192mph. And that felt so quick it shouldn't have been legal.

Of Course, if thats not fast enough, you can opt for the GT pack.. 1100bhp+ !!

Its saddens me though, to think there will never be another. In the age of tree loving car haters and Co2 obbsessed countrys, I cant imagine a company ever commisioning a car that could even get near it.

Never say never.  That's what was said about the McLaren F1.

Isn't there some US firm that have built a car capable of 270mph+?  Can't remember the name, which is saying something in itself!

i.e. that the maker isn't memorable, not that I have a poor memory!
