It's out of production, making way for the new RS6.

 More BMW bias. It lost round 2, if you ask me. If one of the guys had to sit with that bag on his lap, it shouldn't have been in the final!

It's a pity that none of these is available as an estate yet, although there is talk of an M3 estate ??. None of them can touch an RS4 avant in terms of all weather pace, desirability and practicality.

This isn't what I read / watch Autocar for!  Where has the concise journalism gone?

I quite enjoyed it; there is a distinction between what i read the magazine for and why i watch the videos. I also think the levels of skill displayed by needell and plato are good to watch compared to clarksons cackhandedness. Thought Jamie was decent eneugh in front of the camera as well. Looked like fun!

Absolutely agree on that..... so why they set up the so called 'rules' when they have absolutely no commitment to honour them??? and finished off as the winner..... think this test is rigged from the beginning.... very disappointed in 'no depth' comparison

no idea what you mean...  the rules were the top 2 go through.  the M3 was equal 2nd.  on the basis that it won the first round, would be weird to disqualify it straight away in the next test anyway.

Very surprised that the M3 won the drag considering the figures Autocar obtained for the C63 in their road test!
