Nissan's one star car

Ed Keohane

That's arguably the most important rating, as there's one thing you know about a car in a crash - it's going to have a driver.

Nissan has attributed the blame to an airbag software problem, but as Euro NCAP has cited dangerous chassis rail deformation it's really a not hard-enough-ware problem.

Nissan managers need to find out where this went wrong in the design process and fix it.
