The second-generation SLK may not be as perfectly styled as the first, but it's still one heck of a good car. No rival at similar money has a better roof than this, and few have as nice a cabin or as sweet a chassis. No, it's not as involving as a Porsche Boxster, but neither is it meant to be. Instead the SLK is for sports car fans who aren't especially fussed about driving fast, except for the wild-and-not-very-wonderful AMG version, which is probably left well alone anyway.
