The drum roll was fairly short and sweet before the Mazda 5 arrived, but it could and should have been longer. Although it looks bland, it's a versatile and well-made seven-seater, with extremely competitive pricing and a fine ride and handling balance to boot. All in all it's a car that deserves your attention if you need to transport all the family - and then some.
