Those who believed that Audi's takeover of Lamborghini would be the ruination of the marque quickly buttoned it when the fabulous V10, all-drive Gallardo was launched. Truth is, junior Lambos were never much good until the Gallardo came along. All right, it feels a bit Teutonic in places but, next to a 911, it's as Italian as Pavarotti.
