How would you like an all-black special-edition Porsche Cayman? Well you can’t have one, at least not unless you get your order in pretty sharpish for the £49,890 car.
This “Porsche Design Edition 1” is a limited-edition Cayman S, just 777 of which will be made available worldwide.
The Edition 1 is apparently “a nod to Porsche Design and the famous Chronograph 1s designed by Ferdinand Alexander Porsche precisely 35 years previously”.
Yes, that’s right, it’s a special edition car to celebrate a watch, and we’re not making this up.
Whatever it’s celebrating, we rather like the Edition 1’s sleek black looks, from the black stripes on the black paint to the coal-hole interior, complete with Alcantara-lined roof. It also has 10mm lower suspension and 19-inch Turbo wheels.
As standard you also get a briefcase containing the “Flat Six Chronograph, a pocket knife, a pair of sunglasses, a pen, and a key ring – all in black, even the knife blade”. Now that’s what we call cutting-edge style.
