Peugeot’s revised its slow-selling 407 Coupe range, dropping the SE and GT trims and introducing one trim level: ‘Sport’.
At the same time, the French firm is putting a distinctly unsporting 2.0-litre four-cylinder HDI oil-burner under the 407’s bonnet.
Still, while it’s not especially sporting (0-62mph takes 10.1sec), it is parsimonious, returning 48.0mpg combined fuel economy and emitting 156g/km of CO2.
The £19,995 2.0 HDI joins the 2.7-litre V6 diesel and the 2.2-litre and 3.0-litre petrols in the 407 coupe range.
All cars get xenon lights, dual-zone climate control and auto lights and wipers. Leather trim and sat-nav are optional.
