Bentley has revealed details of the last version of the Arnage, the Final Edition, which will be launched at the Paris Motor Show.
150 examples of the Final Edition will be made, with a UK price of around £195,000, after which the Arnage will be retired.
It’s based on the mechanical package of the Arnage T, meaning a 500bhp version of Bentley’s venerable 6.75-litre turbocharged V8 engine, but it also gets most of the kit of the more luxurious Arnage R. A rear cocktail cabinet and twin veneer picnic tables will come as standard.
The V8 engine is a highly developed version of the original motor fitted to the 1959 S2 saloon, with Bentley boasting the current motor boasts two-and-a-half-times the power of the original while using only 60 percent as much fuel – and putting out 99 percent fewer emissions.
After the Arnage’s demise the engine will continue to be available in the Azure and Brooklands.
