A new motoring club has opened up “the most exclusive private race track country club in the world” just 90 minutes’ drive from New York.
The Montecello Motor Club offers only 500 membership places, which cost £62,600 ($125,000) initially and a further £3750 ($7500) for each following year. Members get up to 200 days of annual track use, the use of the club’s selection of classic and modern performance cars, a private helipad, spa and storage for their own cars.
The 4.1 mile-long Montecello track has been designed by Bruce Hawkins and Brian Redman; it includes 22 corners and 1.5 miles of straights.
The Montecello Motor Club is already planning to improve its facilities to include a five-star hotel, a karting facility, an off-road course and a tuning centre.
