Specialist Italian coachbuilder StudioM is believed to be creating a unique shooting brake version of Maserati's Quattroporte saloon for an anonymous Middle Eastern customer.
Although the project is reported to be currently at the scale model stage, work on the actual car is expected to require lengthening the roofline, repositioning the fuel tank and significant modifications to the glass area.
Although an elegant transformation, the concept, dubbed 'Cinqueporte', is unlikely to be pushed into full production by Maserati, whose next official model is expected to be a conventional coupe, to sit below the recently launched GranTurismo.
