Ford will complete its range of facelifted Focus models at the Geneva motor show next month when it shows off this, the revised Focus Coupe-Cabriolet, the fifth version of the popular Focus model to be updated with Ford's new kinetic design language.
You’ll clock the new bonnet, headlights, twin grilles and bumpers on this new drop-top straight away; they’re a very close match for those of the 2008 Focus hatchback but, says Ford, also “tailored to perfectly fit the elegant side view of the Coupe-Cabriolet.”
Inside the car, Ford has reappraised the cockpit design and upgraded the quality of the material finish. Most prominent for the driver is a new instrument cluster, its design inspired by binoculars.
New options on the revised Focus ‘CC’ are keyless start, a tyre deflation detection system, new levels of Bluetooth and USB connectivity, a more affordable satellite navigation option and a DAB digital radio.
Work has been done to improve mechanical refinement across the Focus ‘CC’ engine range, with particular attention paid to the 2.0-litre TDCI diesel. However, all 2008 models get a new, lighter insulated cowl panel and a new carpet with heavy duty coating for further sound deadening.
Electronic stability control now comes as standard on all Focus ‘CCs’ in all European markets.
