Pininfarina has released the first drawing of its 2008 Geneva motor show concept, the Sintesi.

The Italian styling house's standard PR puff describes the Sintesi as "a synthesis of beauty, sportiness and functionality" and says that the car will combine elements of the last two Pininfarina's prototypes, the Birdcage 75th and Nido. The former was an out-and-out supercar; the latter was a semi-modular city vehicle designed to test manufacturing and safety improvements. Judging by this image, the Sintesi is 80 per cent Birdcage and 20 per cent Nido...

Pininfarina has not released any mechanical details on the Sintesi, but given its PR claims and the fact that it's already committed to build its own electric car by the end of this year, it would be a surprise if it didn't contain batteries, either as the sole source of power or as part of a hybrid system.
