Lotus has drawn inspiration from its 1970s Elan Sprint for a special edition Exige, which commemorates the start of Lotus production in Hethel in 1967.

The Exige Sprint comes standard with the same colour scheme as the legendary Elan – a two-tone design with white on the lower section of the body and a choice of yellow or blue on the upper portion. The two colours are separated by a gold stripe bearing the “Exige Sprint” nomenclature.

Only 40 of these limited edition models will be sold in the UK and will cost £42,550. Each car will get a heritage pack containing a certificate signed by Lotus CEO Mike Kimberley and a collector’s book outlining the carmaker’s most important models over the past 40 years.
