The new Jaguar XF emerged top of the pile at the annual awards ceremony of our sister magazine What Car? last night, scooping two gongs from the magazine’s panel of judges – Best Executive Car and the coveted Car of the Year award for 2008.
“The XF has it all,” said WC? editor Steve Fowler in presenting the award: “it looks fantastic and has a classy, futuristic interior that gives a real sense of occasion. On top of that it’s great to drive, whatever mood you’re in, and is a sound ownership proposition too.”
Sixteen other awards were given out on the night, with Audi leading the field among manufacturers by collecting three of them – Best Coupe (for the TT), Best Performance Car (for the R8) and What Car?’s Security Award. A complete breakdown of the night’s award-winners is below.
