This is the new 300bhp, supercharged Brooke Double R.
Power comes from a 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine that has been custom made by Noble Motorsport – the same people who created the engine for the Noble M12.
With a kerb weight of only 550kg and 580bhp per tonne, Brooke claim the car will hit 60mph in under 3sec and carry on to a very wind swept 165mph.
The non-supercharged 260bhp Brooke Double R came a close second to the Ariel Atom in our 2007 0-100-0 test, with a time of 3.33sec to 60mph and 7.68sec to 100mph and an overall time of 12.15sec. The Atom 300 managed 11.35sec overall, so we'll have to wait until this year's 0-100-0 test to find out if the latest Double R can take the Atom 300's title.
