Nick Park, creator of the Wallace and Gromit animation films, is selling the Austin A35 van that inspired the 'Anti-Pesto' van featured in Wallace and Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit.

The van will be auctioned on eBayMotors.co.uk from today (17 October) until Friday 26 October with money from the sale going to Wallace and Gromit's Children's Foundation.

The 1958 A35 has got most original parts and is described as 'driveable but in need of MOT and tax'.

Park reckoned that the Austin A35 was the ideal model to use in the film because "the van needed to be big enough to transport Wallace's invention, the Bunvac 2000, while slick enough to go on high-speed chases."

Austin A35 saloons were popular with club racers in their day, and we reckon the van could be just as much fun. And who wouldn't want to own a piece of British film and motoring history, while also giving money to charity, too? Go on, you know you want to.
